BiographyPierre's talent for designing sounds that are bigger than life makes him the perfect man for large format film. But Patagonia's dinosaurs are set to give him his biggest challenge yet: bringing these great creatures and the world they lived in back to life. Sound is just as important as images to create a sense of reality, to make people feel immersed?, he points out. You have to make people get a real sense of what it could be like to live alongside such huge creatures ?. His sound design for large format films, created at his own Studio SFX, has already made audiences feel like they could fly (Adrenaline Rush), sail across the oceans (Vikings), or fly faster than the speed of sound (Ultimate G's). Named Québec radio producer of the year in 1990, for his work with the most popular morning radio shows in the Québec City region, CJMF-FM's Le Zoo and CHIK-FM/Radio-Énergie's La Jungle, he has also worked, over the years, on the sound design of numerous films, advertisements, DVDs and television shows, as well as two video games for Playstation and PC, Jersey Devils and Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time. |
