Biography

William Ross is a prolific, award winning composer and arranger whose work has spanned feature films, the recording industry and television. He has composed music for such films as Ladder 49, Tuck Everlasting, My Dog Skip, Tin Cup, My Fellow Americans, September Dawn and the IMAX film Young Black Stallion. He has orchestrated over 100 films including Matrix Reloaded, Forrest Gump, The Mummy Returns, Stuart Little and Father of the Bride. He adapted John William's music from the original Harry Potter score for the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, for which he conducted the recording session with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road studios in London.

Mr. Ross has also arranged music and songs for a remarkable list of artists including Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Whitney Houston, Kenny G., Michael Jackson, David Foster, Quincy Jones, Babyface, Bette Midler, Jennifer Lopez and Andrea Bocelli. He has recently arranged songs on Josh Groban's record-breaking "Noel" album. His orchestral arrangements have been featured in many films including Titanic (Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On", The Quest for Camelot ("The Prayer" with Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion) and Enough ("Alive" featuring Jennifer Lopez).

William Ross is the recipient of two Emmy awards: Outstanding Music Direction (in 2007) for his work on the 79th Annual Academy Awards ceremony; and Outstanding Music Direction (in 1992) for his work on the episodes "Field of Honey" from the TV series Tiny Toon Adventures.
