Biography

Latter-day Saint. Lives in Little River, South Carolina with his wife Rhonda. Composer, writer, performer and producer. While he attended school (with film composer Sam Cardon) he was a rock and roll drummer for several groups and played with The Vectors. Graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a BA degree in Music Theory. Credits as a film composer include Kieth Merrill's IMAX film "Ozarks: Legacy & Legend" (1995), which is shown in Branson, Missouri, and the movies "To Die, to Sleep" (1992) and "Land of No Return" (1975). Has performed on the PBS television show "Austin City Limits." Plays keyboard with the Carolina Opry.

A graduate of Brigham Young University, with a Bachelor of Arts in music theory, Ralph joined The Carolina Opry in 1997. Ralph has a long list of credits to his name, including being the former musical director for Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Natalie Cole, and Charlie Rich.

In addition to his skill at performance, Ralph has composed music for movies and television, including Bob Hope's Christmas Special. Prior to joining The Carolina Opry, Ralph worked with such musical greats as Vince Gill, John Denver, Johnny Cash, Crystal Gayle, Loretta Lynn, and Tanya Tucker.

Ralph currently resides in Little River with his five beautiful children -- Ralph II, Reni, Regin, Rakaia and Raquel -- and his wife Randi, whom he credits for his accomplishments.
