Biography

Composer and Orchestrator. The Boston, Massachusetts native was best known for writing and composing musical scores for movies on television and the big screen as well as television serials and animated programming. Cohen's two Emmy wins for musical direction and composition were for children's animated programming "The Adventures of Batman and Robin: A Bullet For Bullock" and "Disney's Aladdin". His prime time television musical credits were "Sex and The City", "The Wonder Years" and "Dallas". His impressive big screen musical credits include "South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut", "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult", "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" and "Mission: Impossible III" just to name a few. He had as well an impressive resume in childrens programming to include "Doug's First Movie", "Aladin 2: The Return of Jafar", "All Dogs Go To Heaven", "The New Batman Adventures", "Batman", "Disney's Aladdin" animated series as well as the animated "Superman" series. He also arranged music for such artists as Kenny G and The Irish Tenors. He died of a heart attack in Agoura Hills, California.
